New Libraries Now

New Libraries Now (NLN) is a community-led effort committed to ensuring that ALL Berkeley residents have access to modern, safe, well equipped and staffed local branch libraries.

Thank You!

Thank you to all of the people who showed their support at our rally yesterday.  We are absolutely excited at the prospect of beautiful, state-of-the art libraries in our South and West Berkeley communities, but we are going to need all the support we can get to see them through to the end.  We look forward to working with you in the future to make sure that ALL of Berkeley has equitable access to local branch libraries!

At last night's meeting, the City Council set a public hearing for May 17th to certify the actions of the Zoning Adjustments Board (ZAB) and the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC).   Certifying the ZAB and LPC actions will help construction on the project to start as soon as possible, so we'll need all the support we can get.  We hope to see you all on May 17th.
